Manchester United has Hublot …but, how about Manchester City?
Well, the rivalry continues as the defending Premier League Champion has just announced that they also have the team’s Official Timing Partner now. It’s Richard Mille, the brand priorly spotted on the wrist of Roberto Mancini when embracing Brian Kidd (Assistant Manager) after Sergio Aguero scored the winning goal in the last minute of injury time, which helped City win the championship. This is the first deal of its kind for The Citizen following their first league title winning in 44 years. As for the French watch-making company Richard Mille, this is their first kick-off on world of football following their previous involvements on tennis (Rafael Nadal), Golf (Bubba Watson), Polo (Pablo Mac Donough) and Formula Race (Felipe Massa, Jules Bianchi, Romain Dumas, Adrien Tambay, Martin and Alex Brundle).
The Manchester City manager, ROBERTO MANCINI wears the Richard Mille RM 010 Automatic Watch. It features skeletonized aluminum lithium movement structure as the successor of the RM009 Felipe Massa timepiece; while the shape of its movement – designed by Vaucher, a high quality movement manufacturing specialist – is an update from the previous RM005: the engine was modified into a Richard Mille Caliber RM010 (28,800vph, 31 jewels). It has the abilities of 55-hour-power reserve and water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet).
The RICHARD MILLE ROBERTO MANCINI WATCH has the same attention to detail in their manufacture as its siblings. It is characterized by micro-blasted grade-5-titanium case (48 mm x 39.30 mm x 13.84 mm) and bezel, skeleton dial covered by anti-glare sapphire crystal, skeletonized automatic winding movement, and transparent sapphire crystal exhibition back – glareproof both sides. The functions include hours, minutes, seconds, and date. The rugged yet attractive body is combined with black leather strap with deployant clasp. Continue Reading »
