I can’t speak French; so that when I saw the name of this elegant watch, I thought it refers to one of my favorite rock band from Japan –ラルク アン シエル Raruku an Shieru which is also known as L’Arc~en~Ciel. Apparently, I was wrong!

“Arc-en-ciel” is the French word for “Rainbow”. As for the GENTLEMAN ARC-EN-CIEL 40 mm WATCH, the name corresponds to the wide arched opening at 10 o’clock and its seven rainbow colors indicating the day of the week spelled out (here in Italian). Each day, the day-window displays the name of the day in different color, implying the user’s change of mood. Everyone can then give it its own symbolism.
