Tambourine denotes a musical instrument of the percussion family consisting of a frame with pairs of small metal jingles, called “zils”. Wikipedia also explains that Tambourine mostly comes in circular shape. It is found in many forms of music: classical, Roma, Persian, Gospel, Pop and even Rock music.
In fact, in 1965 Bob Dylan wrote and performed a song “Mr. Tambourine Man” on his album Bringing It All Back Home. And Dylan’s “Tombstone Blues” or “Like a Rolling Stone” without the tambourine certainly will be boring.
Yet the world remembers Rock Legend Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin played tambourine often times on his performances.
“Life is a big tambourine/
The more that you shake it the better it seems/
This is my wisdom - these are just words from the sea.”- Robert Plan on Song: “Down to The Sea”, Album: Fate of Nations
Anyway,…unlike the others, this “tambourine” of Louis Vuitton produces different sound: It is ticking!
Well, Guys…It’s a watch. And it’s absolutely a cool watch: bold black-and-white with yellow accent: The Tambour in Black GMT Watch by Louis Vuitton.
(It seems black-and-yellow combination is the recent choice of the designers; Angelina Jolie looked so wonderful in a bold black-and-yellow Armani Prive masterpiece at the red carpet of BAFTAs - British Academy of Film and Television Arts.)
The French fashion designer has certainly made a perfect combination of luxury, contemporary design and cutting edge performance.
The Swiss made watch, diameter of 41.55 mm features a Black Force steel case which is four time stronger than steel.
The movement is automatic GMT; the date is at 3 o’clock; and the water resistant is 100 meters (10 ATM); the black natural rubber strap is embossed with Damier pattern.
Enjoy the details!
