The latter, “Piano Man” invited RETROSUPERFUTURE to design special edition eyewear for his foundation, Elton John Aids Foundation (EJAF). And the Kanye West’s favorite eyewear label came up with an acetate sunglasess that include soft yet sturdy silver arms bearing the signature RSF Limited Edition mark on the left arm and the ‘ELTON JOHN FOR EJAF’ inscription on the right. Adapted “People” model, the sunglasses also includes fine Italian white leather covering the silhoutte as well as a unique Carl Zeiss electric blue faded lens. (People series is a unisex piece). The ELTON JOHN SUPER SUNGLASSES is exclusively made and auctioned at the 2011 edition of EJAF White and Tiara Ball – the event first launched in 1999 by Sir Elton John and David Furnish – with all the proceeds have been donated to the fight against Aids.
