Zinedine Zidane\'s Watch by IWC Schaffhausen - second edition

Of the three football living legends appeared in LV world cup 2010 luggage advertisement, Pele is the only one who hasn’t had luxury wristwatch dedicated to him. Maradona has Hublot Big Bang, while the retired French World Cup-winning footballer ZINÉDINE ZIDANE has just renewed his partnership with a high-end Swiss watch manufacturer, IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN just before the FIFA World Cup Twenty Ten South Africa. On this occasion, the master of soccer himself has been personally involved in the design of the timepiece, which is limited to a worldwide of 500 watches. (The limited-edition inscription, “ONE OUT OF 500”, is engraved on the side of the case at “9 o’clock”) Continue Reading »

How to Read Time When Your Watch Has Only One Hand?

Single Hnd Watch by GErmany DEFAKTO - Nachtschicht, white dial

What time is it? Can you read it? It’s 07:37.
Do you get it?

BOTTA DESIGN - single hand watch

How about this one? It’s quite lot easier.
Yes, you’re right! It’s 14:45 or 02:45 PM.

Germany Watchmakers apparently love to produce single-handed timepieces. The first watch above is from DEFAKTO. It actually tells time in quite simple way: within twelve hours, the hand completes a full rotation; the big indexes represent the hour markers and the smaller indexes stand for 15-minutes each. Of course, you won’t get precision of one-minute; however, 15-minutes increments are still very useful. DEFAKTO says on its website that after some practise you are able to read the exact time plus/minus two minutes. Its credo says, Continue Reading »

Hublot Aero Bang Mexico Watch - football federation and national team

Playing in FIFA World Cup finals Twenty Ten, Mexico National Football Team is accompanied by the special edition of Hublot Watch in the hope that it will bring luck to them as it did for “Lu Furia RojaSpain National Team in UEFA European Championship 2008. As the Swiss luxury watchmaker renewed its prosperous partnership with the Mexican Football Federation (Federación Mexicana de Fútbol Asociación or FMF). Jean Claude-Biver, CEO of Hublot, presented the very first new limited edition Big Bang to the head coach JAVIER AGUIRRE on the pitch at the Estadio Azteca. (Apparently, Diego Maradona is not the only national team’s trainer who wears Hublot during the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa).

Javier Pastore of La Albiceleste wears CONCORD C1 Watch!

Javier Pastore Watch: Concord C1 Chronograph Pure Watch

Just before heading to South Africa for the FIFA 2010 World Cup, the youngster Argentine midfielder JAVIER PASTORE bought himself an exclusive wristwatch by CONCORD. This purchase makes three luxury watch brands so far identified in the Argentina National Football Team. Priorly, we know that the head coach Diego Maradona wears Hublot Big Bang Special Edition Watch and the striker – as well as the most expensive player at the World Cup 2010 – Lionel Messi sports an Audemars Piguet watch.

Just about to turn 21 at the World Cup finals (born June 20, 1989), Javier Matías Pastore is one of the players that have earned a place in Diego Maradona’s squad without having made a single appearance in qualifying. Shockingly, he ruled out veteran midfielders such as Javier Zanetti and Esteban Cambiasso. He owes his inclusion, however, to his string of outstanding performance in his first season at Italian Serie A level with U.S. Città di Palermo. Continue Reading »

Lionel Messi Wristwatch is the Audemars Piguet!

Lionel Messi Wrist Watch by Audemars Piguet

Even though a football team has its official wristwatches doesn’t mean the players will always get loyal with the brand. For instance, the world’s most expensive player Cristiano Ronaldo had rather worn Corum Watch on his wrist than his team’s official watch – Real Madrid’s Ebel or Manchester United’s Hublot; and so does the FIFA 2009 World Player of the Year – LIONEL MESSI. A month after his current club FC BARCELONA signed an agreement with Chopard, the Argentine striker – frequently compared to football living legend Diego Maradona - has reached a remarkable partnership with Swiss Watchmaker AUDEMARS PIGUET. Maybe that’s why Leo Messi didn’t attend the ceremony when Chopard presented the commemorative timepieces to each Barca’s players and officials.

Phillippe Merk, CEO of Audemars Piguet was so thrilled to welcome the young talented sportsman joining the Swiss Watchmaker and its 135 years of history. He said,

“Lionel Messi is an exceptional man, the greatest player of his generation. This young and talented athlete not only embodies pure sporting genius, but also the courage and the determination of a man who fights against all odds to pursue his dreams. Above and beyond his intrinsic value, we are welcoming a big-hearted man with valuable human qualities into the Audemars Piguet family.” Continue Reading »

Business got crazy after that and with the boom of the e-commerce era, the brothers realized they needed to shift focus to online and hired help for the retail stores. A team of employees fanatical about all sports and dedicated to bringing that excitement to other fans is always providing the best shopping experience possible.

World Cup 2010 Scarf - FIFA in South Africa

Yesterday Glee Scarf, Today World Cup Scarf!

Made from 100% acrylic with length of 56”, the ADIDAS WORLD CUP 2010 SCARF and the stadium horn “vuvuzela” are the must-haves for fans this summer in SOUTH AFRICA

Speaking of which, what is VUVUZELA? Sometimes called a “lepatata”, Vuvuzela is a blowing horn, approximately one metre in length, commonly blown by fans at football matches in SOUTH AFRICA. It’s an idiosyncrasy of nationality which has become apparent at football matches as the samba drums in Brazil, the ringing of cow bells in Switzerland, or the Mexican wave. Continue Reading »

Scarves as worn by Kurt Hummel of Glee

Michael Kors Scarf as worn bu Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) of Glee Club

Undoubtedly KURT HUMMEL is the trendsetter in Glee Club. CHRIS COLFER describes his character as the “fashionable soprano” of the GLEE CLUB. He’s very much into fashion and very much into himself. He puts on a very confident, “I’m better than you” persona. He’s a tough guy in designer clothes.

In that FOX musical comedy television series, the gay male countertenor has worn designer’s clothes such as Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Topman, Ben Sherman and Marc by Marc Jacobs. Kurt’s fashion has a sense of drama, with a few attention-getting pies.

As for the scarf, Glee’s costume designer, Lou Eyric –winner of the Costume Designers Guild Award - has picked two designs: the Alexander McQueen Skull Scarf and Turtleneck Scarf by Michael Kors. Continue Reading »
