Michael Owen’s Signature Watch: Tissot 2009 PRC 100 Limited Edition

Tissot Michael Owen Watch - 2009 PRC 100 Limited Edition

One of England’s greatest ever strikers MICHAEL OWEN has embarked on a new adventure with Manchester United, the football club whose official watch is Hublot Red Devil Bang. Nevertheless, Owen might seem not to wear the wrist watch as he has already been in successful partnership with TISSOT for 11 years. In fact, to mark their second decade of collaboration, The Swiss Watchmaker presents the MICHAEL OWEN SIGNATURE WATCH in limited edition of 4,999 pieces worldwide.

The new Tissot 2009 PRC 100 Michael Owen Limited Edition watch features the colors of Michael Owen’s national team, red, at five-minute intervals at the dial – in the form of small, flag-like squares. What’s more, the red accent incorporates oversized red accent on the number 10 at 10 o’clock position. ‘10’ is Michael’s famous squad number. But what’s not anticipated, Owen is no longer wearing the number ‘10’ on his jersey; instead he is awarded the “iconic” and “prestigious” squad number: ‘7’. The shirt number Owen inherited has been the emblem of a long and distinguished line of United’s most cherished players, from Johnny Berry, George Best and Steve Coppell, to Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.

About Tissot
Founded by Charles-Felicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile in the city of Le Locle, TISSOT first introduced their first mass-produced watch in 1853. Tissot merged with the Omega watch making family in 1930 and Tissot-Omega watches from this era are sought after by collectors. Still headquartered in Le Locle, Switzerland and present in more than 150 countries around the world, Tissot has been, since 1983, a member of The Swatch Group Ltd., the largest watch producer and distributor in the world.
