MAKR of Florida launches Summer Collections 1.5

A handmade leather goods producer from Florida, MAKR launches their supplemental set of products for this summer 2009: MAKR COLLECTION 1.5. It is a product expansion of select wallet silhouettes from Collection 1 including a Camera Bag and iPhone Sleeves. Like the previous MAKR Wallet and MAKR Tote bag, each of these new pieces are hand-made in small batches workshop, Makr Design Studio and featuring minimal adornment and a bigger attention to materials and finishes.

Along with this summer product launching, MAKR also introduces their new improved website. It features more user-centric layout to help the customer navigating the MAKR product line; likewise it includes high quality images of the most comprehensive selection of Makr products.

Designed and crafted in U.S., the MAKR CARRY GOODS delivers products which are both usable and beautiful. Each Makr product is manufactured for prolonged existence from carefully considered materials. Makr Carry Goods is committed to endorsing bright design and efficient, yet accountable craftsmanship.

One of the new summer collections is MAKR FLAP MINIMAL ANTIQUE OX WALLET. It features a horizontal flap closure wallet with receiving strap. The strap tightly closes the wallet and hides a laser etched logo panel. The design protects cards and allows for cash to be folded once and slipped behind. The ox-blood finish was hand mixed and dyed on sun aged leather. Each item was cut, polished, and then clear coated for a rich antique finish.

MAKR was founded by Jason Gregory who loves blending the tradition of handcraft with the contemporary. Four years ago while trying to make his own stylish camera bag; Jason experimented with laser and leather. He was working in an architectural firm owning an industrial laser to cut material for building models. Jason then developed his skill with laser and leather. He then constantly produced fashionable handcrafted wallet in only small quantities by smaller group of people in his family-owned-company, MAKR.
