Complementing the success of Red Devil Bang, HUBLOT has launched their next Official Manchester United Watch: The New Big Bang RED DEVIL 2. This time the launching event took place in China along with the Manchester United team, on the same day with the opening of Hublot’s first store in Hang Zhou – at the prestigious department store: HANG ZHOU TOWER, and the chance to take part in support of the HOPE FOUNDATION - a non profit organization which raises funds to help children’s education in China and Hong Kong.

Before presenting the second edition of the RED DEVIL BANG, Hublot invited several of Manchester United’s best players to play game for charity. Paul Scholes, Ji-Sung Park, Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra had to shoot the ball from the shore of the “West Lake” into a target hole placed 16 meters away, on boat. For each goal scored, HUBLOT promised to donate the sum of $250,000 to the HOPE Foundation. Unfortunately, none of them was successful. In fact, Rio Ferdinand’s shot was the closest to the hole, hitting the target board.

Sir Alex Ferguson who previously cheered on the four players couldn’t resist to trying it himself. And the manager was indeed better than Rio… He kicked the closest to the goal though he only wore his casual shoes (instead of football shoes as the players wore). David Gill, Chief Executive of Manchester United Football Club, also made an attempt; and then Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of HUBLOT after shot from the grass, boarded on a boat to bring symbolically the ball in the hole and to offer the Foundation additional $10,000 to the 100,000 promised. The cheque was delivered to the famous founders and representatives of HOPE FOUNDATION, the actress Miss Lee Xing Jie and the singer Miss Xu Ru Yun.

RED DEVIL II is only produced in limited edition of 99 pieces numbered 01/99 - 99/99. Just like the previous edition, the Official Manchester United Watch still incorporates the same features such as 45 minute counter at 9 o’clock, the “Red Devil” logo at 3 o’clock, date (Rectangular aperture with yellow date) at 6 o’clock, matt black microblaster dial, red index appliqués hour markers, black hour and minute hands with yellow luminescent feature and a red chronograph hand. It has also black satin-polished ceramic bezel with 6 titanium H-shaped screws – sunken, polished and blocked. The sapphire crystal includes interior/exterior anti-reflection treatment. The watch is powered by automatic winding: Hublot HUB45 calibre.

What’s new in this series is the new rose gold case and 5N gold crown with black rubber insert.
