Fashionable men’s accessories blog ‘Men-acess’ have featured Diagonal Watch by Vacheron Constantin last year. And now, the exceptional watch is featured on the latest Oliver Stone’s film “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”, sequel to the 1987 Academy Award-winning film “Wall Street”. The character, hedge fund manager James Bretton (played by JOSH BROLIN) wears the “American 1921” from the historical collections of Vacheron Constantin: Les Historiques.

Right after the film’s premiere at the 62nd annual Cannes Film Festival, the oldest Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin – partnering with Twentieth Century Fox, held an exclusive after-party at the Magical Chateau des Fayeres, a beautiful estate located in the rolling hills just outside of the city of Cannes. Joining the event were the casts - Michael Douglas, Josh Brolin, Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan, Frank Langella as well as the famed director Oliver Stone – and the high-profile crowd of attendees including CEO of Google Eric Schimdt, Ellen Berkin, Josh Brolin’s spouse Diane Lane, Bryan Lourd, Richard Lovett, supermodel Karolina Kurkova, and Mansour Ojeih.  All the guests enjoyed a beautiful evening, gathering around the estate’s scintillating outdoor pool and dining on a provencal buffet of fresh seafood and grilled meats. The film’s star-studded cast shined as they were welcomed by Vacheron Constantin for the magnificent soiree.

The Historiques American 1921 Watches were displayed within the estate adding up luxurious atmosphere on the hill. Guests were drawn to the magnificent pieces from the brand’s Patrimony Contemporary and Traditional Collections.  The timepiece that Mr. Brolin’s character donned in the film, Les Historiques American 1921, offered not only a glimpse into the making of the film but also the great partnership of Vacheron Constantin and Fox Studios.

“Historiques American 1921” Watch has diagonal reading of the time, with the crown positioned at one o’clock. The Geneva-based watchmaker produces the timepiece in limited numbers to pay homage to the bold spirit of ‘Roaring Twenties’ era. Vacheron Constantin combines the original ‘cushion-shaped’ case with 18 K pink gold to reinterpret the classical characters. The Brequet hour and minute hand as well as the baton-shaped seconds-counter hand are in black oxidized 18 K gold.

Vacheron Constantin explains: “The Les Historiques line was born out of the desire to highlight the richness of Vacheron Constantin’s heritage by reviving emblematic legendary models conveying the brand’s spirit and savoir-faire in contemporary reinterpretations.”
