For instance, bag maker Incase has teamed up with Dutch artist Parra to develop a fine art form of Apple product’s cases; while Citroen has collaborated with British Cartoonist Gerald Scarfe to make an Official Ultimate Arsenal FC Fans Car; and today, the Swiss Watchmaker MOVADO elevates the art of watchmaking to an outstanding appearance as it introduces a suit of six gripping watches with graphic dial designed by acclaimed American artist KENNY SCHARF.

Born in 1958, the New York based painter KENNY SCHARF is renowned with his works consisting of popular culture based shows with made up science related backgrounds. He often displays animated cartoon of Hanna Barbera’s The Jetsons and The Flinstones as well as Walt Disney’s Fantasia. Scharf was a key figure in the East Village art scene of the 1980s, with shows at Fun gallery (1981) and Tony Shafrazi (1984), before seeing his work embraced by museums, such as the Whitney, which selected him for the 1985 Whitney Biennial. He did the album covers of The B-52’s in the mid-80s, designed a room at the Tunnel nightclub, New York in 1995 and released a cartoon of his own “The Groovenians” in 2001.

Made of stainless steel case, KENNY SCHARF for the MOVADO ARTISTS’ SERIES WATCHES comprises six face dial designs: “Movado Time”, “Blurple Time”, “Universal Time”, “Starring The Star”, “On Time”, and “Time Flies”. Each series is available in limited edition of 125 numbered pieces presented in a matching Scharf-designed box with two interchangeable leather straps. It also includes the certificate of authenticity. The timepiece is powered by Swiss quartz movement.
