One year ago, Swiss watchmaker RICHARD MILLE announced the special edition of RM011 to commemorate Felipe Massa’s first race on Singapore Grand Prix, F1 Night Race 2008. And recently, to honor the Ferrari Scuderia, their favorite F1 racer and friend who has survived a terrible F1 accident this season on 25 July 2009, Richard Mille re-launches the RM011 model with some fine alterations.

Produced in extremely limited edition of 10 pieces, the FELIPE MASSA TITANIUM BLACK DLC GRAND PRIX BRAZIL incorporates identical major design as the previous Felipe Massa’s Singapore GP Watch; except this one bears the spirit of Brazil, Felipe Massa’s native country as yellow and green become the vibrant colors on the watch. The Brazil flag’s yellow is the major colors on the rubber crown and carbon fiber flange around the dial whereas Green is on the super-luminova second hands.

The other distinguished design detail is the image of Felipe Massa’s helmet at 10 o’clock to restate the ten piece collection. Furthermore, black titanium DLC coating on the center of titanium case bring a ‘night’ effect to the watch.

As a RICHARD MILLE RM011 CALIBRE FELIPE MASSA FLYBACK CHRONOGRAPH, this series features a skeletonized automatic winding movement with adjustable rotor geometry offering hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph, 60-minute countdown timer, 12-hour totalizer, and oversized date, month display.

Some major technical innovations included are:

• Flyback chronograph can be reset without first having to stop the mechanism. Simply press down the second pusher located between 4 and 5 o’clock.
• Running Operation allows user to start and stop the chronograph function via the pusher located between 1 and 2 o’clock. 
• Annular Calendar involves automatic adjustment for months of 30 or 31 days.
• Semi-instantaneous oversize date display is placed in a red outlined horizontal aperture under 12 o’clock. 
• Semi-instantaneous month display with Arabic numerals is placed between 4 and 5 o’clock. 
• Rotor with variable geometry incorporates Arm in grade 2 titanium, Flange in grade 2 titanium, 5-positional adjustment via grade 5 titanium screws, Wings in 18-carat, high palladium content white gold, Weight segment in tungsten/cobalt alloy, Ceramic ball bearings and unidirectional - anti-clockwise winding direction
