In order to give a clear vision when looking to the watch on a bright sunny day, the dial is protected by a 2-mm thick anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

The black dial of PANERAI LUMINOR 1950 REGATTA RATTRAPANTE WATCH is adorned with a beautiful hobnail pattern. The dial is set with tachymeter scale at the periphery; two side-by-side sub-dials; as well luminous hour markers with white text; not to mention the color of the sea: blue that performs as the accents on the five minute countdown of the 30-minute counter and the central split-second chronograph’s hand. 

The Panerai Lumior 1950 RR 44 mm DLC Watch is animated by a self-winding mechanical movement – the Panerai OP XVII caliber. It’s a highly reliable movement with a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour offering 42 hours of power reserve.

The two column wheels at the right side of the crown are for controlling the chronograph: start, stop and return to the zero functions; while the button at 8 o’clock is for activating the complex rattrapante. The black leather strap with a Panerai tang buckle in DLC-stainless steel rounds out the timepiece.

SYLVESTER GARDENZIO STALLONE (born July 6, 1946) has already had a long connection with OFFICINE PANERAI. In fact, the Italian-American actor is partly responsible for Panerai’s popularity in Hollywood. In his notable movie “Rambo”, Stallone wears a Panerai PVD Luminor Marine Militare Watch. It is Adam Levine’s favorite number and also the address of the recording studio in Los Angeles where Maroon 5 recorded their demo. Adam shared,

“Well, there’s a place called 222, the first studio we recorded our first demo at in Hollywood and it was this tiny little building. It no longer exists, actually, or it’s under a different name now, but it was the first studio we recorded at and then that demo tape…we had this tape and we took it around. That’s kind of what started our whole career! Even back then, we said 222 was going to be our lucky number and it just kind of stuck with us.”

Regarding his passion on fashion, Adam explained,

“I’m passionate about fashion. I think it says something about yourself and, whether you care about clothes or not, what you wear reflects some kind of attitude towards style.”

The men behind the “222” brand will be Fred Levine and Sami Cooper. The first name is Adam’s father who owns a fashion stores called SoCal in California for the last 30 years. He also operates 20 stores under the name M.FREDERIC including eight women’s units, six men’s and six children’s. In 2005, when Fred open his second store in Studio City, Adam Levine and Ryan Seacrest of American Idol attended the inauguration.

The latter name is Fred’s cousin. He owns a clothing factory which will produce the apparels. The design team will also backed up by Levine’s personal stylist, Aristotle Circa.

“This is a family affair,” said Levine to WWD. “What I wanted to avoid was the typical pitfalls that someone in my position can fall into. This is something grassroots. Most importantly, it’s something that I work on myself. I collaborate on and approve every single piece of clothing in the line. I’m not just hawking something because I’m in a famous band.”

For you who can’t wait until next spring, just come to Project Trade Show in Las Vegas this week as 150 pieces of 222 Collections by Adam Levine will make its debut. The first pieces will include two styles of jeans for men, a skinny and a straight leg, and two styles for women which retail prices are in range of US $150 to $280.

The collections will feature a minimalistic designs. Adam explained,
“It’s very simple and pure and durable. Jeans, T-shirts and a leather jacket. That’s all I need. I think it’s always fun to be the most underdressed person in a room. There will be no bedazzling in this collection. I like subtlety in design. These days so much stuff looks like someone vomited all over it.”

Fred Levine added,

As the Hublot’s ambassador, Usain Bolt took part in a charity event on the 6th of July supporting the USAIN BOLT FOUNDATION. In front of the manufacture in Nyon – Switzerland, the fastest ambassador in the world pitted himself against 10 child athletes aged from 3 and a half to 13 years selected from across the region. Here is the stake: for each child who reaches the finish line of 100-m-sprint-race before the “Lightning Bolt”, HUBLOT would pay 10,000 US dollars. Of course, to make it fair, the children were given a head start several meters depending on their level and the length of their legs. And the result?

Thanks to the Usain Bolt’s generosity…he encouraged the children during their race, and they all finished before him. A check for US $100,000 then goes to the Usain Bolt Foundation to contribute towards a number of projects in Jamaica focusing on education, health and development, as well as contributes in particular to actions carried out by “United Way of Jamaica“.
