Diagonal Reading Time Watch by Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921

Having covered three series of Vacheron Constantin watches (including this article), I notice that they have distinguishing way to show time. While the Great Explorers Watch Series employs glance-paralyzing dial and patented movement to show time, this series, The new “Historiques American 1921” Watch has diagonal reading of the time, with the crown positioned at one o’clock.

The Geneva-based watchmaker produces the timepiece in limited numbers to pay homage to the bold spirit of ‘Roaring Twenties’ era.

Historiques American 1921 shows time in unique way

Reinterpreting the classical characters — elegant, unpretentious but original, and a real dandy of a watch — Vacheron Constantin combines the original ‘cushion-shaped” case with 18 K pink gold. The Brequet hour and minute hand as well as the baton-shaped seconds-counter hand are in black oxidized 18 K gold.
