The teen heartthrob JUSTIN BIEBER has just released a new scent this May 2011, called SOMEDAY. However, the rumor arises that the women’s perfume is suspiciously a plagiarism of Marc Jacob’s best selling ‘LOLA’ released in 2010.

At a glance, the designs of the bottle are quite similar. They are both equally dominated by purple color set with petal-shape top. Designed by the singer himself collaborated with Etoile Nation Beauty, the petals on Justin’s comprises two colors: red and pink plus removable crystal heart lock and key from Justin – so fans can carry his heart around with them wherever they go – hanging from the bottle neck; while Marc Jacob’s has three colors: blue, purple and red, plus leaves as the detail ornament. Aiming teenage girls as the market segment, 14 to 18 years old, the JUSTIN BIEBER’S SOMEDAY is a ‘fruity gourmand’ perfume created by Honorine Blanc of Firmenich; while MARC JACOB’S LOLA combines scents of fruit and flower.

So far, there is still no official statement from Justin to clarify the rumor. But, Marc Jacobs tweeted,

“We don’t mind. We’re Beliebers.”

In fact, in recent interview with Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), the American fashion designer said that he won’t sue Justin.

“We just had a conversation about it. Coty said, ‘Do we sue them?’ and I said, ‘You know what? Let everyone else say what they want.’ . . . We’re not going to do anything about it.”

Marc Jacobs (born April 9, 1963) argued that in the world of fashion, ideas and inspiration often overlap. He explained,

“I look around the room and I look at the work we’ve done and a quote I always bastardize but I really believe in, is something [Coco] Chanel said: ‘He who insists on his own creativity has no memory.’”

Previously, a year ago, Justin has launched the unisex fragrance called “MY WORLD”. Today, he thinks it’s time for the girls or maybe he simply copycat his mentor, USHER who launched USHER FOR WOMEN perfume in 2008.

“Let’s be real, the way a girl smells is very important to a guy! I have such a deep connection with my fans, so creating a fragrance that I personally love is another way I can bring them closer to my world,” said Selena Gomez’s boyfriend.

When chatted with Ryan Seacrest of American Idol, Justin Bieber added,

“I wanted to do a fragrance for women basically because I want to be smelling the girl’s neck. I want to tell the girls what I like, what I think is going to be hot and what’s attractive to me. So I wanted to make a fragrance that I think will be appealing and make me want to chase the girl that I smell. It just smells really good, it’s not too strong; it’s like a nice, spring, light smell. It’s not just a young girl perfume. It’s definitely marketed for teenagers, but I think that even moms will smell it and be like, ‘that’s a good smell’ and tell the store they’re buying it….for their kids but really they’re spraying it on themselves.”

As the sales raising nearly two fold when DAVID BECKHAM lent his body and face to Armani, the soccer superstar seems to believe that he will get the same result when he launches his own label. With his fame and charm, Beckham is very confident with his ‘market value’.

He said to Women’s Wear Daily, “I have had the idea of doing a bodywear collection for some time now. The push to do something of my own really came as a result of my collaboration with Armani. They told me that their gross turnover in 2007 was around 16 million euros [$22.7 million at current exchange] and after the campaign in 2008 it went up to 31 million euros [$43.9 million] in 2008. It proved to me that there is a real market for good-looking, well-made men’s bodywear.”

However, the idea might not have come entirely from his own. His wife, Victoria has already had her own fashion lines that gain big success. Therefore, David also gear up with Simon Fuller – creator of American Idol who masterminded the critically applauded Victoria Beckham Dress Collection – to set up the project.

“It’s not my natural inclination to see myself as a brand, I’m just a person who has been fortunate to explore other interests and passions outside of the game I love. First thing first, Fuller started developing the venture by creating a new logo as a uniform visual identity for the brand. He hired Alasdhair Willis – founder of Announcement Creative and husband of designer Stella McCartney – who came up with ‘David Beckham’ in Replica Pro font and a circular hole punched out of the script. The hole refers both a soccer ball and a lens or viewfinder.

The David Beckham’s Fashion Label will include underwear and perfume range. A new scent called HOMME BY DAVID BECKHAM – developed with the world’s largest fragrance company. COTY INC. – is scheduled to be released this September. Previously in 2005, the LA Galaxy Midfielder has introduced DAVID BECKHAM INSTINCT fragrance and INTIMATELY BECKHAM, a his-and-hers duo with wife Victoria Beckham which was launched in 2006.

Starred by French actor Gaspard Ulliel (of “Hannibal Rising”), the commercial was directed by the living legend MARTIN SCORSESE (landmark movies: “Taxi Driver”, “Raging Bull”, “Goodfellas” and “Departed”) with a soundtrack by the legendary rock & roll band ROLLING STONES – “She Said Yeah” (from the album “December’s Children and Everybody’s”).

Porsche Design Group will release “The Essence by Porsche Design” this fall. It’ll come out to US in November 2008, just in time for the winter holiday gift-giving season.

Porsche SE subsidiary – producing high end accessories - collaborated with Groupe Clarin’s Parfums Azzaro to develop their first scent.

It’s the men’s scent of the “fresh aromatic woody juice” coming from Article, the molecule from International Flavors & Fragrance. In addition you will get juniper and blueberry aroma. To indulge your sense, it’s complemented with Russian coriander, black pepper and Siberian pine, and in the base are fir balsam, patchouli and incense. It’s quite complete to indulge your sense.

Azzaro executives envisioned an urban, cultured, intelligent, sporty, sensual man in the 25-50 age range as the user.

In their release, Gerald Delcour said, “‘Porsche’ is a name everyone knows; next word is ‘design, which is something modern and in the l’air du temps,”. Gerald Delcour is the Presidents of Parfums Azzaro and Porsche Design Fragrances.

The Porsche Design U.S. collection will include:
