The maker of innovative cases INCASE and the Hollywood art magazine ARKITIP are continuing their collaborative project “Curated by Arkitip” as they’re about to release the third installment in this early February 2009.  This time, it features Los Angeles artist Steven Harrington, the co-founder of National Forest Design whose projects include Urban Outfitter Catalogs, Burton Snowboards, and the Nike Ole Mural.

This is not Steven Harrington’s first collaboration with Arkitip as he ever participated in the Arkitip “Highmath” group exhibition in Berlin.

Influenced by Time-Life Encyclopedias 1965-1972, thrift stores and the 60s pysch sounds of The Moody Blues, his art might be termed “contextual objectivism”. That is, each piece is created as a tangible object symbiotically defined of a larger context.
