The most spectacular Olympics opening ceremony ever was performed in Beijing National Stadium a.k.a Bird’s Nest. Over 15,000 performers played the drums, danced, performed the astronaut, globe drama and the illuminated Olympics rings. The former Chinese gymnast, Li Jing ignited the cauldron. The fireworks burst on a magnificent pyrotechnic and the athletes did the parade. On the night 08-08-2008 Zang Yimou, the Chinese director and Zang Jigang, the experienced choreographer undoubtedly has created a magnificent colossal ceremony. The venue was the witness of the memorable event. On 24-08-2008 Beijing National Stadium will once again become the witness of another commemorative moment, the 2008 Olympics closing ceremony.

In Beijing National Aquatic Center a.k.a Water Cube, Michael Phelps, American Swimming Phenomenon was crowned to be the most successful Olympian ever with his 13 Olympic gold medals (so far), the most of any athlete of the modern Olympic era.
